Since 2010, I’ve been studying DevOps methodologies and tools, along with everything in the open-source world. Back then, DevOps felt like a cultural shift and revolution in how we approached systems and operations. (Now, in 2025, we’re much more focused on GenAI, but automation remains fundamental.)
Currently, I work for Sourcesense, an Italian company within the Poste Italiane group. I work as a Senior Execution Manager, handling various responsibilities, including: evolving our DevOps and Cloud Native service offerings, technical training, technical selection, managing project costs and revenues, training Technical Account Managers (TAMs) to, as they say, “replicate my role within the company” (jokingly, of course!). I also often dive into the Bash terminal to troubleshoot issues and keep my skills sharp. In essence, I’m a manager who enjoys staying hands-on. More detailed descriptions of my work are available on https://www.linkedin.com/in/eugenio-marzo-646a6742/.
When I have time, I try to contribute back to the open source community through personal projects, such as technical articles on my blog or open-source contributions.
I enjoy writing on my blog, devopstribe.it, and creating fun projects like accolli.it. (I’ve been planning to use it for something significant for years, but I don’t want to waste the domain, accolli.it, which is fantastic!) Recently, I’ve specialized in chaos engineering and container orchestration tools and practices.
In May 2024, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Big Data from Mercatorum University.
In my free time, I enjoy taking long walks, trying different street foods, and traveling to places off the beaten path.
I love what I do when I feel free.
